Motivation Monday: Training centers all the rage

Athletic training and sports conditioning centers are popping up all over the Twin Cities and there's a good reason for it, they have an interested customer. It seems parents are more willing to spend money to develop their adolescent athletes.
Many of the training centers offer in-season and off-season training to young athletes looking to gain that competitive edge.
Monday morning on KARE 11 Sunrise, Chris Freytag took us inside The Edge Sports Training Center and Total Hockey West facility, where young athletes from grade school age though college can come to improve their strength, agility and power in a small group setting.
The basic idea behind these facilities is to improve skill and fitness level to create the total player. The skills learned are also aimed at preventing injury and improving your body.
The Edge In The News
The EDGE's training curriculum was recently featured in a Star Tribune article called The Edge: For athletes looking for some extra" about strength and conditioning training.
The Edge Sports Training Center was featured on KARE 11's 10 pm News and the Sun Sailor in pieces that described The Edge's contributions to Youth Athletic Development.
